Deaf Cruise Eastern Mediterranean
May 31 - June 11, 2004

Many of you might remember when our company was advertising for a Mediterranean Cruise onboard of the Galaxy sailing May 31, 2004. All those who booked the cruise enjoyed it a lot and had a fun-filled time. The 11-night cruise started in Chivitavecchia, Rome’s port, and brought us to places like Naples, Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Dubrovnik, and Messina. Our group took advantage of excursions in every port where we stopped and at each requested excursion sign language interpreter service was provided.
Our group members came from Arizona, Minneapolis, Maryland, and Florida.

Situated at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, Naples offers one of the most scenic settings in the Mediterranean. A short drive from Naples, you will find Pompeii. Pompei was buried by a volcanic eruption. Pompeii

Dubrovnik’s city walls are impressive and beautiful structures.A walk through the old city is like walking through an open-air museum.
Messina is the third largest city in Sicily. It is a town with both a Greek and Roman flavor, It's most famous attraction is the Greek Theater from where the visitor can see Mt. Etna. Taormina

It was a terrific cruise and Celebrity Cruises did a marvelous job providing sign language interpreters with a ratio of 1 interpreter for every 2 guests. Interpreters were on call 24 hours, covered all the requested activities on board and all the requested excursions. We had a lot of fun with participating in Karaoke. We became singing stars signing the songs, we were challenged during the Battle of the Sexes Trivia, participated as a team in the Liars Club and much more.Don’t miss our upcoming cruises and tours. Most of them offering sign language interpreter service.
