December 6 ZURICH, SWITZERLAND
Arrive in Zurich, Switzerland and check-in to your hotel that is located close to the airport. The remainder of the day is free.
December 7 ZURICH - LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND
Meet with your fellow travelers and your tour guide and join a walking tour in Zurich along the Bahnhofstrasse, Limmat River, St Peters Church and the largest clock face in Europe as well as Fraumunster and Grossmunster. Afterwards there is free time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, continue via coach to Lucerne. Join a guided walking tour. Along the way cross the ancient Chapel bridge, see the Lion of Lucerne, climb the Musegg wall and traverse the narrow alleys of old town before proceeding to a local restaurant for dinner. (B,D)
December 8 LUCERNE - BASEL, SWITZERLAND
Free time in the morning on your own. Early in the afternoon, depart via coach for Basel. Join a walking tour in Basel where you will see the picturesque Old Town, the Rhine river, market square and the Cathedral. Afterwards, have dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. (B,D)
December 9 BASEL, SWITZERLAND
Free time on your own to discover the beautiful medieval old town with many narrow and winding side streets. Parts of the city are closed to car traffic and make walking in the city very enjoyable. Dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. (B,D)
December 10 BASEL - EMBARKATION, SWITZERLAND
Later in the morning board the coach to get to our ship, the AmaStella. Embark the river cruise ship for an exciting 7-night cruise. Enjoy dinner on board the AmaStella.(B,D)
December 11 BREISACH, FRANCE
Visit the enchanting Alsatian town of Riquewihr beautifully dressed in her holiday finery with twinkling decorations and a lively Christmas Market. On your walking tour, admire historical architecture, as well as famous sights, such as the Dolder Gate. (B,L,D)
December 12 STRASBOURG, FRANCE
Strasbourg is even more alluring during the season of Advent. The Christkindelsmarik dates back to 1570, making it the oldest Christmas Market in France. Enjoy a panoramic bus tour that takes you past the Parc de l'Orangerie, the European Parliament and the Place de la Republique. Afterwards, walk through the historic town center on the Grande Ile, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and through the lovely "La Petite France" district, where you will see the Cathedrale de Notre Dame with its famous astronomical clock and then visit the town's famous Christmas Market. You can also choose to explore Strasbourg's different districts by bi-ycle. During the afternoon, visit Gengenbach Christmas Market where every year the locals countdown to Christmas with a 24-day, larger-than-life Advent calendar. (B,L,D)
December 13 MANNHEIM, GERMANY
Visit Heidelberg, a city that will capture your heart with its mighty castle and historic university. While here, wander along one of Europe's longest pedestrian shopping streets, the Hauptstrasse, soaking up the Yuletide celebrations at the town's Christmas Markets. (B,L,D)
December 14 RUEDESHEIM - RHINE GORGE, GERMANY
Wine connoisseurs will want to go to a wine cellar for a wine tasting of the Rheingau Rieslings. Those who wish to soar high above the vineyards can take a gondola ride to the Niederwalddenkmal Statue. Or, for a more active adventure, join a guided bike tour through the town and along the Rhine River. During the afternoon, you can visit Siegfried's Mechanical Music Museum, home to a remarkable collection of self-playing musical instruments; or taste one of the town's special delights, Ruedesheimer coffee. You'll also have plenty of time to enjoy Christmas traditions from all over the world at Ruedesheim Christmas Market. Later in the day, set sail along the scenic Rhine River Gorge with its fabled legends and many castles. (B,L,D)
December 15 COLOGNE, GERMANY
Join a guided tour through the enchanting Old Town. Explore the UNESCO-designated cathedral and then visit one of Europe's largest and most renowned Christmas Markets located in front of the cathedral. Alternatively, ride a bike along the Rhine and through the historic Stadtgarten; or visit a local tavern to taste Cologne's traditional Koelsch beer and Reibekuchen-potato pancakes served with apple sauce. December 16 AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLADS
Begin your discovery of Amsterdam with a scenic canal cruise, followed by a walking tour to the Begijnhof, known for its historic Middle Ages building and concluding with a panoramic city tour that includes the Royal Palace and Westerkerk. (B,L,D)
December 17 AMSTERDAM - DISEMBARKATION, THE NETHERLADS
Bid Farewell to Amsterdam and prepare for your homeward flight. (B)

Flight arrangements are offered by AMAWATERWAYS and can be booked through Kerstin's Deaf Travel. R/T transfers can be purchased through Kerstin's Deaf Travel for an additional fee. A passport, valid for 6 months beyond the completion date of your travel is required. Minimum group size: 20 guests. Maximum group size approximately 50 guests.
